The Patriot Pullup Bar is a free-standing, bolt-together, stand-alone pull-up bar that is the best option for weighted/tactical pull-ups, which is a must for building maximum usable strength in the pull-up.
The Patriot Pullup Bar is suitable for box gyms, commercial training facilities, military fitness centers, or private residences.
The Patriot Pullup Bar is free-standing and can be used almost anywhere: in the gym, basement, garage, or even your living room.
Featuring four side-mounted Plate Hold Down Brackets, the Patriot Bar gives you a convenient place to store your Olympic weight plates and hang your dip belt. No more throwing that stuff on the gym floor for people to stumble over!
Although extremely sturdy without any weight plates, when fully loaded up with plates, the Patriot Pullup Bar becomes virtually immovable. Unless you weigh as much as a grizzly bear, kipping pull-ups and muscle ups won’t be a problem.
Please remember when measuring your ceiling for your new Patriot Bar, you must take into account not only the height of the Patriot Pullup Bar, but also the amount of head clearance you will need when performing a pull-up, so that you do not bump your head on the ceiling!
The Patriot Pullup Bar Standard Issue requires a minimum ceiling height of about 9 feet.
Muscles Worked
The Patriot Pullup Bar works your lats, biceps, forearms, back, traps and even your core. A pull-up bar is an essential piece of equipment for any serious athlete/operator.
The Patriot Bar is available in 2 different heights:
*Note on Color Choice: Both the Patriot Pullup Bar Standard Issue and the Patriot Pullup Bar L.C.H. are available in Black or Tactical Tan.

Made In Michigan
Made proudly in the state of Michigan, in the good old United States of America, with US and global materials.
Materials
- All Patriot Pullup Bars are made of steel and feature a urethane powder coat finish, on the main body of the unit, with a Cerakote finish on the pull-up bar itself.
- Cerakote is known for its extreme durability and corrosion protection, and it is commonly used in the firearm industry.
- Urethane powder coating is known for its excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, and it can even stand up to the elements when used outdoors.
Additionally, the pull-up bar itself features a proprietary semi-rough textured surface that is not slippery when you grab it with sweaty hands, but also not so rough that it tears into your callouses. Patriot Bars’ unique textured surface feels better in the hands than any other option on the market today. We invite you to try it out for yourself.

Unused decals make great bumper stickers, or you can just slap them on your tool box.
Black Patriot Bars come with two sets of decals: classic red, white, and blue, and subdued black.
Tan Patriot Bars come with two sets of decals: classic red, white, and blue, and coyote brown.
Patriot Pullup Bar FAQ
The Plate Hold Down Bracket, is a feature unique to the Patriot Pullup Bar. Plate Hold Down Brackets are sized to hold and store any standard Olympic weight plate. This allows you to weigh the Patriot Pullup Bar down with as much weight as you want to. This extra weight gives the Patriot Pullup Bar incredible stability when used for kipping pull-ups or muscle ups. You can also hang your dip belt on any of the Plate Hold Down Brackets, for those all important tactical (weighted) pull-ups. Resistance bands used for assisted pull-ups can also be hung on the Plate Hold Down Brackets.
Yes, the Patriot Pullup Bar is completely functional without the included Plate Hold Down Brackets. Because the Plate Hold Down Brackets widen the footprint of the Patriot Pullup Bar, some owners may choose to leave them off. However, they are incredibly useful for holding Olympic weight plates, dip belts, and bands, so owners are encouraged to find a spot wide enough to use them.
The Patriot Pullup Bar bolts together easily with just two 15/16” wrenches, or one 15/16” wrench and a 15/16” socket and a ratchet. These tools are commonly available in most hardware stores, if you don’t already have them in your toolbox. You could even do the job with two large adjustable wrenches, but it is not recommended because they do not torque the bolts as tightly as the properly sized wrench or socket would. This method may round the bolt heads, making disassembly of the equipment more difficult if you need to take it down and move it in the future.
Warning! Do Not use impact tools for assembly as they may chip the powder coat!

Yes, but it is not recommended. It is easier to have a buddy hold the uprights in place while you bolt on the triangle brackets and top bar. If the uprights topple over, they could damage surrounding pieces of equipment or furniture, fall on top of a child or pet, or get scratched. But it is by no means impossible to assemble the Patriot Pullup Bar by yourself. You simply assume all risk when doing so.

Not a problem. The hardware used on the Patriot Pullup Bar are 5/8-11 x 3 ¼ hex cap screws, 5/8” nuts and 5/8” washers. These are fairly common fasteners that you should be able to find at a local hardware store. If you cannot find these size fasteners or do not want to bother, email Patriot Bars, and we will send you replacements (you just have to pay the shipping).
You can either jump or use a sturdy chair or plyo box to step on. If you jump up to the pull-up bar, it is best to use a ‘thumbless’ grip, so that when jumping up to grab the bar, you do not accidentally jam your thumbs into the bar.
Yes, but it is not recommended that you store your Patriot Pullup Bar outdoors long term. For safety, you must also make sure the surface you are using it on is flat. Concrete, pavement, and asphalt will scratch the bottom of the pull-up bar, so artificial grass, turf or a rubber mat is recommended when using it on those surfaces. Like anything made out of metal, rain, dew, saltwater, or air saturated with a high salt content will eventually cause your Patriot Pullup Bar to rust. Moisture should be wiped off immediately after any outdoor use.
A cloth or gym towel dampened with water works best. If you need to disinfect the bar itself, a commercial gym disinfectant or Isopropyl alcohol can be used. Avoid getting the decals wet, as it will deteriorate them.
The bar portion of the Patriot Bar undergoes a unique, proprietary manufacturing process that puts a subtle, grip-enhancing texture into the metal itself. Afterwards, Cerakote is applied to the bar to add color and corrosion protection. Some of the bars may have spots, speckles or unevenness in the Cerakote finish. This is inherent to our manufacturing process, not a defect. Rest assured, it will not affect the performance of the bar.
Why do Patriot Bars fasteners look a little ‘rustic’? Good question. All Patriot Bars fasteners are coated in black zinc with a clear coating on top of the zinc for extra corrosion protection. The two combined coatings create the fasteners’ unique appearance. We think it looks cool, and you probably will, too.
